Shine on you crazy diamond

In 2020 my dear friend Dr Melody Caramins passed away. She was one of the most amazing people I have had the pleasure of befriending. A brilliant genetic pathologist, a bonafide fashionista, art collector and art maker. Melody was a multi functioning human of the highest calibre...and a hell of a lot of fun!

Melody was survived by her husband, amazing Alex and beautiful doggo Zac. During her preparations for the after world Melody decided that she would like her ashes to be turned into a diamond and the diamond in turn be set into a ring for Alex to wear. 

The story told to me by Alex goes something like; he was reading the website for diamond creation from ashes and declared to Melody, 'I can get you made into a 2 carat stone!', to which Melody dryly replied...'darling you're not Liberace, lets make me into something a little more tasteful'

It was an honor to be asked to make the ring. Here is the finished result; a platinum everyday ring set with the half carat 'Melody' diamond.
