Remodeling Jewellery

Remodeling jewellery is one of the favourite parts of my job. We are working with memories and family history, the final piece should be a tribute to the old and reflect but not copy the original design. It is possible to use old metal but you must realise that this is an added process and as such adds to the cost. The reason for reusing metal should be for sentimental reasons. Pictured is a before and after shot of a ring where we only used the central diamond of the old ring. My client wanted a ring made as a tribute to his grandmother. The band was made new and I took the central diamond from the old ring and copied the engraved star from around it. Her name is stamped inside the band.
